WEB Albania stunned Croatia with a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser to deny the 2018 World Cup finalists a victory that severely dents their hopes of reaching the next round of the UEFA EURO 2024 qualifiers.

Croatia, who reached the final of the World Cup in Russia five years ago, looked set to secure all three points in Albania thanks to goals from Andrej Kramaric and Marko Livaja.

However, Albania fought back with goals from Myrto Uzuni and Armando Broja to earn a share of the spoils and leave Croatia facing an uphill battle to qualify for the tournament in Germany.

The result was a major blow to Croatia's hopes of reaching the EURO 2024 finals, as they now sit third in Group E, three points behind leaders Hungary and Albania.

Albania, meanwhile, moved into second place in the group with the point and will be confident of securing a play-off spot at the very least.
